Who we are
This website is run by RAY'S ELECTRICS LTD, trading as Ray's Electrics, registered in England and Wales (company no. 17270980). Registered office: 106 Holme Lane Hillsborough, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom, S6 4JW. We are the "data controller" for any personal information you give us through this site. You can contact us about anything on this page at info@rayselectrics.co.uk.
What we collect and why
When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, your message, and — if you choose to give them — your phone number and location. We use these solely to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and carry out and certify any work you ask us to do. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
If you phone or email us directly, we handle those details the same way.
Where your message goes
The contact form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service that passes your message to our email inbox. Web3Forms acts as our processor and does not use your details for anything else. We don't store form submissions anywhere other than our email.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you become a customer, we keep job records, certificates and invoices for as long as the law and our certification schemes require (typically six years).
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email info@rayselectrics.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
