Ray's Electrics is a local, independent business based in Walkley, Sheffield. We specialise in renewable energy systems (solar PV, battery storage and back-up power) alongside a full range of domestic electrical services.
Meet John
The company is run by John, a qualified electrician with a physics degree. Probably the only electrician in Sheffield who can draw you a free-body diagram of a solar array. That matters because renewable energy systems aren't off-the-shelf: they involve trade-offs between panel orientation, battery chemistry, inverter sizing and how you actually live. Understanding the underlying physics means we design systems that actually deliver.
How we work
We listen to what you want to achieve, then design the simplest system that does it well. You deal with the qualified electrician directly — the person who quotes the job is the person who turns up to do it, not a call centre or a subcontractor. We keep you involved in the decisions along the way, and we price competitively.
